The Gotham Institute of Wildlife Sciences & Conservation provides applied training programs in wildlife and marine field methods. Our courses are designed to bridge the gap between academic study and professional fieldwork by emphasizing practical skills used in environmental consulting, research, and compliance monitoring.

Wildlife Monitoring
A broad introduction to wildlife field methods across multiple taxa, including birds, bats, and coastal species. Training emphasizes survey techniques, habitat assessment, and standardized data collection in real-world field settings.
Bat Monitoring
A specialized, field-based course focused on bat survey methods, including acoustic monitoring, emergence counts, and data interpretation. Designed for professionals seeking technical competency for consulting and compliance work.
GIS & Environmental Data
Applied training in spatial data management and environmental data workflows. Participants learn to map, organize, and analyze data using GIS tools and apply QA/QC principles used in environmental consulting and reporting.
